944S Brakes on BJ/Super spindles

This kit adapts 87-89 944S hubs and disks (front mount) to a BJ/Super spindle. Since the 944S bearings (inner:L68149/L68111, outer:M12649/M12610) are larger than the stock beetle, bearing spacers are employed to make the hub fit onto the T1 spindle. The spacers are a shrink-fit onto the T1 spindle (ie, heat the spacer, chill the axle and push on).

The hub is then narrowed by removing some material from the grease seal side. Grease seal adaptors allow the use of stock beetle grease seals (PN: 113 405 641B). This kit is currently engineered to adapt to 68+ BJ stock drum spindles. Other spindle applications (ie disk, dropped drum, dropped disk) can be developed in response to consumer interest.

The spindle will require spotfacing to mount the caliper bracket.

This kit includes machining and fitting of the bearing spacers to YOUR spindles. Also, customer supplied hubs are narrowed and modified for the grease seal adaptor. The caliper brackets are included as are the required fasteners.
